In the heart of Cancún, the inaugural Gothia Cup Cancún unfolded with a dazzling opening ceremony, setting the stage for a global youth soccer celebration filled with joy, warmth and excitement. The event kicked off with a vibrant light show, dancers and music creating a fantastic atmosphere in the arena.

In the mesmerizing blend of tradition and modernity, the opening ceremony also featured the presence of Maya Indians dressed in traditional attire, showing their rich cultural heritage and adding a unique and captivating element to the ceremony.

A representative from each participating nation entered the stage in the end of the show and solemnly spoke the tournament oath, pledging to uphold the values of sportsmanship, fair play and camaraderie throughout the tournament. This part of the ceremony really highlighted the community and joy that pervades the entire Gothia Cup.
